Mary Wang

Mary Wang joined Hixson Nagatani LLP as a Partner in 2009. Previously, Ms. Wang had practiced employment law for several years with one of California’s most prestigious law firms, where she had worked with Ray Hixson and Brian Nagatani.

Ms. Wang is a seasoned advisor and litigator. In her counseling practice, Ms. Wang has advised Fortune 500 companies and small employers on a variety of employment and labor laws, including wage and hour issues, terminations and reductions in force, leaves of absence, performance management, harassment, retaliation, personnel handbooks and policies, workplace investigations, trade secrets, unfair competition, employee privacy issues, and other personnel matters.

In her litigation practice, Ms. Wang has defended employers in state and federal courts, arbitral forums, as well as agencies against various employment claims, including harassment, discrimination, retaliation, unfair competition, breach of contract, fraud, trade secret violations, and both individual and class action claims for wage and hour violations.

Prior Experience

Prior to joining Hixson Nagatani LLP, Ms. Wang practiced employment law at Fenwick & West LLP in Mountain View, CA, where she represented numerous technology and life science companies in employment and labor matters.

Educational Background

Ms. Wang graduated from Stanford Law School in 2004. During law school, Ms. Wang served as a judicial extern for the Honorable James Ware of the United States District Court for the Northern District of California. Prior to law school, Ms. Wang attended the University of California, Berkeley, where she earned a B.A in History of Art, with high honors and Phi Beta Kappa.
